The O₂Tree shaped trees are very versatile. Where parasol trees are often used to create shade, trained trees are usually used planted to provide privacy. Square topiary trees, on the other hand, are often used as an ornamental element. Think, for example, of the beautiful flaking bark of a plane tree or evergreen trained trees with which you can make a beautiful green wall.
Whatever purpose you have in mind with your shaped tree, they suit almost any garden. The growth habit is restricted by the frame that is used. With a parasol tree, this is a star-shaped frame made of bamboo sticks. With a trained tree it is a bamboo rack of 120 or 150 cm wide and 150 cm high. The difference in width depends on the type of tree. O₂Tree also has square topiary trees with an steel frame in its range.
Shaped trees are easy to maintain. You can prune a shaped tree annually to ensure that it does not grow too large. You can safely cut off protruding branches. Instructions on watering, fertilisation, location and pruning can be found on this website.
